A bright blue-purple. This is the Pantone color of the year 2022. not only has it been announced as an IT color for 2022, but Very Peri (as they called it) is a brand new color that Pantone has created for the first time in the history of its color forecast of the year. Pantone describes Very Peri as a dynamic shade of evergreen blue with an invigorating red-violet shade. It combines the fidelity and constancy of blue with the energy and excitement of red.
Recently I have been very attracted to color in general and purple in particular (which is also a mixture of blue and red). I am now the owner of a purple Fendi Baguette (photo above). I love it and I’ve been watching it for years (remember that glorious moment from Gender and the City that Sarah Jessica Parker was watching?)! This is a color that unexpectedly matches more than you think. This is an exciting addition to any outfit, due to its vivacity. This evergreen color and all its variations have not gone unnoticed by brands like Bottega Veneta, as you can see below. I think that very soon we will see a lot of this color on the streets.
POP OF COLOR
I don’t own much of this color exactly, but I’m curious and ready to experiment. My GANNI Zebra dress (which I’m wearing below) is probably the next shade. I did some research online and found some shopping possibilities for Pantone 2022. I would say that a full outfit might be too much, but if you own only one piece, you will stand out from the crowd. In a good way. STAUD’s leatherette coat is beautiful, if I can say it myself.
