It’s wintertime, that’s for sure – judging by the amount of diapers I need to get out of the house here in New York. The cold is real, I must say. However, with the winter and the difficult temperatures, there have been some Buy-Now-Wear-Forever pieces and that’s why I decided to show you the 5 winter purchases that I can’t stop wearing. Because I can’t, they’re just as good. Endless outfits for the coming winter and you’ll see I keep grumbling about them on Instagram. Naked with me! Here we go:
Glitter baguette
There is no doubt that the handbag that represents SATC the most is the Fendi Baguette. A bag I’ve been dreaming of for a decade. For the enthusiastic Fans out there (like me), a scene immediately springs to mind when Carrie is mugged and has to hand over her lover Fendi with purple sequins. What could be more Carrie than the fact that even at the tip of the gun she corrects the thief, who simply designates the object as a bag: “It’s a Wand”. Iconic. I still can’t believe I’m now the owner of this iconic remake – and I’ve been wearing it non-stop. Because it is indeed wonderful and super portable, despite what people might think. The Proof of what I’m saying can be found in the Video above. A great casual outfit comes with an unexpected purple sequin bag and I’m not angry. I think it increases the Look. Knitted Skirt
The knitted midi skirt could be my winter-style savior. Knitted midi skirts are one of the most elegant ways to wrap yourself in woolly layers. You can wear a knitted midi skirt with almost any top or shoe, but one of my favorite combinations is knee-high boots and a matching knitted sweater. This is the total Camel Colorway for me in this outfit. Look at the carousel below and soon you will be wearing your knitted midi skirt while you are working from home, walking in the park, going out for lunch,… It will be so comfortable that you will probably be tempted to sleep in it.
Burgundy / Black leather skirt
Is there a style bigger than the leather skirt? Designed to be worn with a sense of confidence when you crave a style to transform your outfits from day to night, the leather skirt is the versatile essential you need. I liked this skirt so much that I had to get it both in Burgundy and in black. Whenever I want to make an outfit more expensive, the leather skirt does the job without problems.
Sweater Dress
Yes, you can wear clothes in winter. Dresses are the perfect garment, regardless of the season. All clothes are a fair game in the colder months, you just need to know how to style them. One way to wear dresses in winter is to put on long oversized coats instead of short versions on dresses. You can also wear your sleeveless spring dress in winter, you just need to wear a warm Heattech turtleneck underneath or a woolen sweater on top. Or both, actually!
Sherpa Maxi Coat
I’ve always bought Dupes of the Max Mara Teddy over the years, until I finally pulled the trigger in Paris. It was a great opportunity at a price and I knew I would do the same. If you know it, you know it. It’s an investment piece, certainly. This coat is like a hug, but shaped like a coat, do you understand my point? You can wear the most boring outfit underneath and you will always be the best dressed in the room. Because this coat will be the star of the show.
