This season is all about statement colors that lift the mood. Hence yellow, kelly green and purple. And Orange, of course. But we talked about it, remember? I am cheerful, playful, and positive about everything. There is an enthusiasm that has been visible on the catwalk and the main street, and these are certainly the right colors to continue to do so. When I choose an outfit, especially on the hottest days, color plays an important role. Nailing the perfect shade or color block can completely change the mood of a top and pants combination, a great dress, or some other Look I think. And even though I like wearing colors that work for me, I’m always looking for new ideas to inspire my daily Looks. Fortunately, the color trends for 2022 are all as bright as possible. Let’s break three of them, shall we?
Yellow
From saturated hues to pale tones, yellow may as well be the star of the Spring-Summer 2022 show. Jason Wu proved that with the right yellow dress, it is quite possible to dress like the sun. This color perfectly embodies the idea of a sunny mind and guess what, it works with Kelly Green (another powerful color that I like right now). Yellow is in, that’s for sure. In 2021, a pale yellow similar to butter was a chic option to opt for cream, but in 2022, everything revolves around the classic, almost neon sun (see my New York Fashion Week Look at the top left).
Kelly green (and orange)
It’s rich and it’s brave! Green is different from any other color, and you will be surprised how it matches everything. Slip on a casual, neutral outfit and add a green mini bag to instantly elevate the Look. It’s pretty awesome, but give it a try and let me know your thoughts. Don’t wait for Christmas anymore to get out your best green dress. In this NYFW Look, I combined it with The beloved Orange with white Accessories – it was somehow impossible to ignore me in this outfit, and I felt myself–the most important and the main thing in the composition of Looks anyway. Would you wear that? Tell me in the comments.
Purple
Purple. A powerful presence and definitely one of my favorite statement colors. We have already talked about Veri Peri (pantone color of the year), but here I explore the real purple, nothing discreet. You’ve probably already noticed that Purple has its own Moment. Violet has always had a place at the table for me because you have the ability to add a slight touch of fun and creativity to a Look. In addition, you have the choice of a softer plum or a living amethyst – and it can be as simple as an Accessory or Eyeshadow. I think we aspire to more adventures with our appearance and people use this time to try their hand at color. Yellow, gold and amber work especially well because they are considered “complementary” to purple. You can also combine a more monochromatic color combination, that is, wear a range of purple tones. If it’s not your Cup of Tea, there are more discreet ways to wear the Royal hue. A top like the one I’m wearing with a variety of colors won’t bring out the purple. It’s up to you!
